California Avocado Toast

I went to San Francisco this week and came back with some world famous sourdough bread. I decided to get some avocados and do a California inspired breakfast. 

Avocado has always been one of my favorite foods, and I love how good it is for your body. Not only is avocado packed with nutrients, it also has beneficial fatty acids that have been proven to reduce inflammation. Couple that with the fact that avocado tastes good on just about anything, it's no wonder it's called a superfood. 

California Avocado Toast


4-6 slices of sourdough bread

2-3 avocados

2-4 Eggs




Olive oil

Spinach or Arugula

Drizzle olive oil, salt and pepper on the sourdough and put it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. 

In the meantime, fry an egg (sunny side) seasoning with salt and pepper. 

Take two avocados, and mashed them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper and basil. 

When the toast is ready, spread the avocado, add fresh spinach or arugula and put the fried egg on top.
